The four main pillars that make up this technology platform include the BlueMotion models which have exclusively TDI diesel engines with very low CO2 emissions, the BlueMotion Technology technology applications which are combined with both TDI and TSI engines and contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions as well as greater fuel economy, BlueTDI technology that offers nitrogen oxide reduction in diesel engines and TSI EcoFuel technology that combines the performance of TSI engines with the low consumption and reduced emissions of a gas engine.
BlueMotion is signed by the most economical diesel models of Volkswagen. They are vehicles that stand out in design both externally and internally. Their impressively low fuel consumption is the result of intelligent engine management, optimized aerodynamic design, optimum rolling resistance tires and longer gear ratios. In addition, all BlueMotion models have a Start-Stop system with energy recovery function during deceleration. The ecological success of all BlueMotion models can be measured quite easily: just by looking at the fuel gauge.
In many of our models we have implemented systems and functions (such as the Start-Stop system and the energy recovery function during braking) that aim to reduce consumption. These models can be identified by the BlueMotion Technology signature.
